Chicken Run is a comedy escape drama with a touch of passion set on a sinister York’s chicken farm in 1950’s England.

Chickens Rocky the rooster (voice of Mel Gibson) and Ginger the chicken (voice of Julia Sawalha) along with all the other chickens face certain death by the evil camp commandants Mr and Mrs Tweedy. So Rocky and Ginger rebel and plan the great chicken escape.

Very funny comedy with brilliant throwaway lines such as “escape or die frying”. “the cluck stops here” and “there’s nothing more determined than poultry with a plan”. Fast and furious dialog, brilliant animation.
